Advance to Excellence Scholarship

 

MBCY Athletics Mission:

Equip and empower young people to impact their communities with the Good News of Jesus Christ.

 

Scholarship Purpose:

The MBCY Athletics Advance to Excellence Scholarship is awarded to a college-bound high school senior who has demonstrated character qualities aligned with MBCY core values. 

 

Scholarship Criteria:

The MBCY Athletics participants eligible for this scholarship must be graduating high school seniors who have volunteered at MBCY and intend to continue their education at a college or university. Consideration will be given to those who have demonstrated leadership qualities, service to the organization, community impact, and integrity. Various aspects of the nominated participants' character, will be assessed.

 

Scholarship Guidelines:

The scholarship nominees will be recommended by board members, commissioners, and other volunteers within the organizations. Nomination finalists will be asked to provide additional requirements before the Board makes a final decision on the scholarship recipient. Recipients of the MBCY Athletics Advance to Excellence Scholarship will be announced during the Championship Saturday awards ceremony of the Spring season.

 

Amount:

Scholarship amount will vary each year depending on donation amount. MBCY Athletics commits to a $500 school supply shopping spree. The remaining amount will be distributed directly into the attending college or university financial account or added to additional school supply shopping amounts. Cash will not be distributed.
